Our forests have seen drought conditions for years. This Spring was especially hot and dry in the North. It was only a matter of time before fires were ignited by lightning or by humans. There are hundreds more wildfires burning now than last year. Over 4 million hectares of forest have burned so far in Canada.
Why are the forests burning?
