What’s the new normal?

Before COVID, we didn’t worry about what’s normal. Now we we wonder if things will ever be normal again.

Some changes brought by the pandemic are gone: we can go out and meet in public once again, our kids are back to school, we can visit grandparents, and we can travel freely around the world.

But there’s no question that some changes are here to stay. Work, the economy, health, for example – they will never be the same again.

Grocery prices keep going up.  Food costs rose faster last month, with prices up 11.4 per cent compared to a year ago. 

MORTGAGE COSTS

Canadians have experienced the biggest increase in mortgage interest costs since the fall of 1982, according to Statistics Canada.
