Saturday’s power outage remains a mystery. It was a clear sunny day, yet we lost electricity for two hours.
The blackout covered much of the midtown. Our electricity at home was gone. Traffic lights were out. Stores went dark.
Two hours later, Toronto Hydro announced: “Power has been fully restored to customers impacted by the loss of the supply from Hydro One.”
Two hours is a long time to wait in the dark. And no explanation about why Hydro One’s transmission system went down. Makes you wonder. Is this going to happen regularly now?
