The aroma of Nicaragua. Volcanic coffee and Picos pastries. That’s what greets you at recently opened Nicaroma Café at Oakwood and Rogers. Yonder and Rebecca opened up in Oakwood Village because they say the area is growing, there’s a lot of movement, and they wanted to give the community a taste of Nicaragua.
Gisselle Cuevas and Stephanie Fugon came all the way from Newmarket and Scarborough for a taste of home. And they assured me that they had found it. We had an interesting conversation about life in the city, and the cost of living. That’s what’s so cool about Nicaroma. You can come in for a coffee and leave having made an interesting connection.
