Consortium says pay more or no Eglinton LRT for you.

We’ve been waiting 12 years. We’ve spent billions more than budgeted. Yet the consortium in charge of construction says it wants even more money and more time or it won’t finish the Eglinton LRT. 

Here’s a timeline of LRT consortium Crosslinx lawsuits against Ontario:

• In 2018, Crosslinx sued and was paid $237 million.

• In 2020, Crosslinx sued Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario again.

  Crosslinx got $325 M for that in 2021.

• This time Crosslinx  is not saying how much they’re suing for but they want Metrolinx to release $300 million from a project fund.  

As of September 2022, the budgeted cost of the Eglinton LRT was CA$12.82 billion.
