Where’s Tammy?

Each time I pass the corner of Glenholme and Rogers, I expect to see Tammy: Her smile, her laughter and her latest fashion. Tammy did her crossing guard job with unique flare and great care. When I learned she wasn’t coming back, I was sad but not surprised. The City contracted out crossing guard jobs to two private security companies. One of which didn’t appreciate Tammy as we do. But as usual, Tammy’s focus is the community. Just see and listen to her message below:

Tammy’s farewell message:

“Thank you to all the families for sharing the last four years of your lives with me. It’s honestly been a really amazing privilege. I’ve loved getting to know everyone’s family, their kids, their dogs, their exams, how the results turned out, just everything. Every moment of their lives that they shared with me for the short time that we crossed paths every day was just the most beautiful part of our community. I loved it. I am going to miss them all so much.  But I still live in the neighbourhood. I probably won’t dress like Santa for a week because there is no reason to now. But I’ll still have my dog treats with me.  Thank you for making me part of your lives.”
