Women of Generations

It’s been 113 years since the beginning of International Women’s Day. We asked Rebecca Mastoras, the director and owner of Generations School of Performing Arts on Caledonia, her thoughts on what’s gotten better for women and more difficult.

“What makes it easier is education and awareness. Generally people are trying to make sure there is equity. Businesses, the population as a whole, the government. There is a lot more awareness. What makes it harder is that nobody took away the jobs we do on a regular basis. You still have to run your household. The workload is even more. The opportunity is there, but at what cost?”
