Sarah Robinson lives in the area and runs Toronto Cares, a local charity. She is co-organizing the Toronto chapter of a national women’s strike at Nathan Philips Square to protect the reproductive rights of women. The aim of the strike according to Sarah is, “to let Canadian policy makers know that we will not stand for what’s happening to American women to happen here.” The strike on Monday (12 p.m.) marks two years since the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a landmark case that ruled the Constitution of the United States protected the right to have an abortion.
